MrBeast Surpasses PewDiePie As The Most(No 1) Subscribed YouTuber

MrBeast has become the most-subscribed individual user on YouTube

The top spot has changed for the first time in almost ten years thanks to MrBeast, who replaced PewDiePie as the YouTuber with the most subscribers.

Most subscribed individual channel

With his game reaction videos, Swedish creator PewDiePie—real name Felix Kjellberg—became the most subscribed YouTuber in August 2013.

He was the first to get 100 million subscribers in 2019.

However, Mr. Beast, who is actually Jimmy Donaldson, attracted his 112 millionth subscriber this month because to his altruism.

He surpassed PewDiePie’s 111 million subscribers, though YouTube does not provide actual numbers.

Mr. Beast is well-known for his charitable endeavors and videos with generous cash and prize offerings.

He established a different organization that serves as a food bank to feed communities across the US in 2021, and that charity has amassed more than 10 million subscribers on YouTube.

TeamSeas and TeamTrees, two global collaborative fundraising events focused on environmental issues that he and fellow YouTuber Mark Rober organized, raised more than $24 million (£16.7 million) to plant 20 million trees globally.

Additionally, PewDiePie contributed nearly $70,000 to the TeamTrees initiative.

Career and Awards

MrBeast is a very popular name in America. He is the most subscribed person on YouTube, including all his channels. MrBeast has a total of more than 200 million subscribers, which is Insane. Although, his main channel has around 109 million subscribers, which makes him the second most subscribed person in America, as far as one channel is concerned.

He began working at the age of 13 and very soon achieved popularity as well. His initial works involved videos related to other YouTubers, gaming, etc. However, in 2017, he posted an expensive stunt video, which made him very famous.

He earned thousands and thousands of subscribers, and his views increased exponentially. MrBeast is also a hugely popular philanthropist, where he has organized fundraising for trees and oceans. He also does plenty of other works are well. MrBeast has also won several awards and accolades, which include Streamy Awards, 12th Annual Shorty Awards, Kids Choice Awards, etc.

How Much Money MrBeast Makes In A Year From YouTube

Funding is merely the beginning of MrBeast’s income sources, one of which being YouTube. A predetermined amount is paid by YouTube per thousand views, with the payout rising in line with the streamer’s popularity. For comparison, MrBeast’s recreation of the Squid Game on YouTube received 4,584,856 views in less than two hours and currently has over 250 million views. According to several publications, Donaldson may be making up to $40,000 per day from only his YouTube content, which equates to a staggering $15 million per year in YouTube royalties.

But in early 2022, it was reported (via Forbes) that MrBeast made $54 million from his many YouTube channels alone in 2021, ending the need for conjecture about how much money he makes from YouTube annually. This astounding sum is more than twice as much as Ryan Kaji, the most wealthiest YouTuber of 2020, who earned $29.5 million from his channel. In November 2021, MrBeast gained even more notoriety when he released the Squid Game video, which reaped the benefits of the gripping Korean drama’s widespread popularity by racking up an incredible number of views. Even though it’s impossible to tell what Mr. Beast will do next, he will undoubtedly continue to earn a ton of money from YouTube, especially as his many channels continue to gain viewers and subscribers.

Steven Bridges’ Comment

According to British YouTuber Steven Bridges, who has millions of subscribers, MrBeast has “mastered the skill” of creating engaging content.

“There’s probably no other YouTuber in the world who understands it as well as MrBeast,” he said.

“Making an entertaining video is one thing, but ensuring that every single second of a video keeps the viewer hooked is very difficult to pull off, and MrBeast’s retention – the percent of the video the average viewer watches – and view counts speak for themselves.

“Really, MrBeast is playing the game of making the most entertaining videos that appeal to the biggest number of people, and he’s consistently knocking it out of the park.

“I don’t think there’s any YouTuber out there that’s surprised MrBeast has taken the number one spot.”

Most Subscribed Channel

PewDiePie earlier stated that he believed MrBeast will “probably” surpass him, however neither has yet to comment on the milestone.

“I can’t wait for it to be over,” he joked in a video from August 2022. “He definitely deserves it. I hope he does it.”

And although if MrBeast has gained the most subscribers among individual YouTube users, his channel is still far from being the largest.

With more than 200 million subscribers, the Indian music video publishing company T-Series is the market leader in that niche.

Even though they appeared to be competing for the top YouTuber spot, MrBeast openly backed PewDiePie as the music video channel gained popularity.

PewDiePie, who had the most subscribers on YouTube overall in 2018, engaged T-Series in a public contest that was primarily amusing for the top spot.

The first well-known YouTuber to endorse PewDiePie ran radio and billboard advertisements in North Carolina pushing viewers to subscribe to him was MrBeast.

PewDiePie subsequently lost the top channel position to T-Series over the course of a year, but during that time he increased his subscriber base from 60 million to 90 million, giving him a seemingly insurmountable lead as the most popular YouTuber.

In the end, it turned out that wasn’t the case.
